Whew! when I woke up after my first night here in San Jose, I feel better as I anticipated. Although I woke up several times during my sleep, I did not feel any nausea and headache. :) That means I am ok and ready for adventure! :) Thank God, I was able to take heed of what I read in the PAL airline brochure and tips that we usually see on the pockets in front of our seat... "If you are expected to arrive in the evening, if possible, do not sleep during the whole flight." And that is what I did! That explains the movie and the Heroes series marathon although during the wee hours of our time (GMT +8) I could hardly hold my eyes any longer so I dozed off for an hour or two! Hehehe...
The plan of calling Ajnin did not push through. I was thinking, anyway, Edward and I will be spending the night next weekend at his home in preparation for our Yosemite trip. :) I decided to spend my whole Saturday with my relatives in Mackin Woods. I called my Kuya Yongie and he picked me up at my hotel and went to Tito Nick and Tita Sonia's home! :) I really had a quality time with them! It was exactly 8 years ago when I first came to their home. I recalled it was still in August, 2000 when I first got here. I feel so blessed that everytime I come here in the US, it is always summer time! :)
Kuya Yong's brothers, Kuya Boboy and Kuya Tictoc were also with us during my visit and we had done a lot of catching up talking together for everything under the sun, (Calape, Cebu, US politics, families, Olympics, etc). I was also had some quality time with their overweight pet, Bingo who is a very cool dog! He made me even feel more at home as he got along well with me. While watching the Olympics, he lay down on my lap. At that time, I remembered Chino and missed him alot. :) He also followed me around the house and in the backyard when I fed my photoshoot appetite. Bingo, as they told me, is really their baby in the house. hehehe.
At about past 10pm, since Kuya Yong and I did not bring our personal stuffs, we needed to go home. We passed through the 24-hour grocery store and bought some beers and chow as we were also excited to watch the Olympic's championship basketball game between Spain and USA. The game was really a blast with lots of thrills and it was really a high scoring, very physical game! :) Spain played so well and much better as compared to their first game versus the US. However, their best was not good enough because my new basketball idol, Dwyane Wade who was really instrumental in taking back the Olympic Gold for the USA since it was taken from them 8 years ago.
Afterwards, I was so happy to see my whole family having a great time with cousins back home. I really miss home. Anyway, the thought of just waiting for a little less than three weeks to go, definitely keeps me alive. :D

US, Here I Come... Again! :)
Whew! I just arrived from a 17-hour flight... 3 hours and 20mins from Singapore to Manila and 13+ hours flight from Manila straight to SFO. Flight was long and boring because I was seated at the Emergency exit section. hehehe. Anyway, it was still futile to be on a window seat because most of the time, the windows were closed because of the glaring light from the sun. Good thing about my seat because I had alot of room to stretch my feet. : ) hehehe.
In order to overcome the jetlag easily, I made sure that as much as possible not to sleep during the entire flight as my arrival in SFO is in the evening (8pm). I did everything I could for me not to fall asleep like doing a movie marathon courtesy of the airline. Movie sequences are as follows: Kung Fu Panda ===> Made of Honor ===> 21 ... I also watched alot of the Heroes Season 2 series too. hehehe.
We arrived 20minutes earlier than scheduled. After an interview with the immigration officer (whats the purpose of my visit, how long do i stay, where am i staying, what is my nature of my work... blah, blah, blah). I felt both relieved and happy upon seeing my two dear friends in Fairchild --- former boss Elsa Keiser and retired Product Line Marketing guru Alan Ankerbrand! :) It has been awhile since I last met with these two wonderful people! :) Although, I was a bit surprised to see Alan in a pushcart-like walking support equipment, I even appreciated it the more! :) Plus, he had long been planning and organizing a BBQ party right at his home with all star cast friends in Fairchild San Jose this coming Sunday! :) Lolo Jim, my dear Lolo and his wife Margarita will be gracing the party too! They had confirmed to come and will be driving all the way from Petaluma to Alan's place just for the party! :) Cant wait! :)
Tomorrow, if I will be successful with my jetlag bout, I am planning to call Ajnin to accompany me around for a photoshoot. My Fairchild friends both in Cebu and San Jose had been bugging him to get hooked in this hobby or shall we say vice of ours called photography. I think we are successful as he just opened his flickr account. nyahaha!
I will keep you posted on more exciting happenings during my stay here in San Jose. :) Meanwhile, I am also missing my family back home in Cebu. :( After I got settled in my cozy hotel room, I immediately chatted back home to relieve me abit. :) So delighted they are enjoying their time there with the grannies. :)
For now, I will have to face my bouts on my jetlag and have to overcome this A.S.A.P! :) hehehe. Will be sleeping in awhile after a warm shower perhaps. hehehe. Wish me luck! :)
